Our approach
This section of our website aims to communicate Rio Tinto Coal Australia’s approach to sustainable development in 2008, including information on each of its operations in New South Wales and Queensland.
Site reports are also available for Blair Athol, Kestrel and Hail Creek Mines. Site reports for our New South Wales operations are available from the Coal & Allied website.
Sustainable development is a not a ‘here today, gone tomorrow’ phenomenon. It is part of the way we work. Our contribution will be maximised if is it integrated into everything we do, from high level business planning through to everyday tasks. As a result, we structure our sustainable development reporting around our business strategic map.
The 2008 sustainable development highlights document and previous years’ reports are available in our reports and publications section.
